"but according to experts, this may be the next super car after the Carrera GT" -- not a chance...I think that it looks horrible..Additonally, i'd like to know what "experts" say this may be the new super car..
A typical proto-prototype. Is there anything there that says this thing was even officially designed by Porsche? You know prototypes, they are always a lot lot more futuristic and ugly then what really comes out. So happily, you don't have to worry about something like that coming out. The Porsche designers know what people really want, and I'm sure that when the next supercar Porsche does come out, it will be loved. Steve
Porsche has lost it's way. Too concerned about sales and earnings. Hence the Cayenne and Panamera. Their supercar is being built by Ruf.
The Carrera GT was developed as a race car, then the opportunity to race it went away, so Porsche made a road car out of it rather than let all of that R & D money go to waste. Porsche will not build another mid engined super car with a distinct platform from the current lineup of road cars. It would be extremely inefficient, and Porsche would not do such a thing.
