The founder of 9ff did time at Ruf and Brabus. This sucks!

I don't know if this is true about 9FF. Recently ''Speedhunters'' blog made a full presentation for 9FF and GT9 CS and also for the company's plans.. Never mentioned something like this.

Well, it's kind of hard to get $500,000 down on a custom built car if you're planning on filing for any type of bankruptcy soon.

Something I reassure bankruptcy clients is that it doesn't take away your skills and experience. I'm sure the engineers and principals will find a new venture soon.

Autoblog needs to do better research......at least in the case of SpeedArt, the insolvency stems from long term legal expenses vs PAG.....not the economy per se.

The new 911 is so good right out of the box that there's little need for tuners...

True enough. Sometimes in these situations I wonder if it's a matter of enough demand for these skills/products.

Oh, lack of product demand no doubt. You can't charge Carrera GT prices for something that looks like a gussied up 911 or Cayman, with no repair or warranty network. Not when a $40,000 996TT can make 600+hp for $10k in mods.

Try getting the same jobber rates on parts after going insolvent... work for somebody else? Yes, leading the company... tough one.
