    All,

I'm possibly interested in purchasing a 2004 996 Turbo X50 Cabriolet. It's been a LONG time since I've owned a P-car. Any particulars I should be aware of? Potential problems? Anyone know if an extended warranty would be available (private sale, not through a dealer)? Car is in Georgia, so I'd want a PPI done. Anyone know of a reputable dealer in the Atlanta area?

    All comments are welcome.

    Thanks,

    CW

I'm sure you're familiar with the myriad of options available for P cars (and their ridiculous prices) so I would jump onto Rennlist and do a search for any lists of option codes. The options each car was built with should be on a sticker underneath the bonnet (the one up front) in 3 digit option codes (such as X50).

Also, try and find a list on Rennlist of the MSRP pricing so you can get a good idea of what the car originally retailed for. -I know the x50 msrp was ~17k.

As for extended warranty, perhaps you can work a connection at the Pcar dealership to CPO it to get the extended warranty.

    Good luck!
