My very first Porsche was a new 1969 911T Targa in what they called "Tangerine". This was a kind of day-glow orange but not metallic. My girlfriend of the day just about skinned me alive for buying that color! (I just took the first 6 cylinder Targa that the dealer got in...regardless of color). She told me she was leaving me unless I let her pick my car color from then on. ++ on the weirdness of Porsche colors back in that day!!! They had the saying - "now there is a color that could only look good on a Porsche". I remember that one very popular color was a very light tan - and yes, I remember the Aubergine. You hardly ever saw a black or silver one in those days.
It'll be many a year before I can afford a $355k car.......and by that time, it'll probably have appreciated to close to $500k, give or take a few dollars for inflation.
You and me both, then it would appreciate another $500 grand before I could convince the wife to mortgage the kids college future on a car.
I like cars in unusual colours. Especially unusual interior colours - IMHO this is the nicest Porsche CGT I've seen (currently for sale in the UK), black over terracotta. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm not sure, but here are a couple fictures of the CGT in white. I don't know if they are factory or repaints. BTW, not my pictures. They are from exoticspotter. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
