I got my eTrex Legend a week ago. Great little portable GPS to avoid getting lost. $200 at Bestbuy/Circuit city and a bit less at buy.com.
    Highly recommended.

I've used a Garmin TravelMate 3 , I think that was the name of it, not very good at all, make sure you test before you buy

I'll have a look at the one you mentioned Kenster, the garmin is really crap

The small hand helds for hiking are major pains in the ass to make work. I just got a Magellan Road Mate 700 -- turn it on, type in the address and go.

    It's great.

Will it say something like "You will arrive at Exit 13a in 5min. If you increase speed from 75 to 145, you will save 1.25 minutes" ????

    Ya know, Ferrari time?

Hey, has anyone ever tried to outrun their GPS blip....get to the destination in the Fcar before the GPS blip does? Hmmmmmm. :p

    hey clyde,

i think is an interesting thought: outrunning gps.

i say we try it with 3 gps equipped cars, and screw up the
    entire gps network!

There are better alternatives. But for less than $200 it is a great little gadet.
