My Portofino didn't have the optional aluminum footrests. Ordered the footrests and screws from ScuderiaCarParts. The nyloks and washers are readily available. The install process was straightforward, and I'm very happy with the results.

If anyone is interested, here are the parts I used
    • RH Footrest – PN 066122200
    • LH Footrest – PN 082388200
    • Screws-flat head, 6 x 1.0 x 20mm (quantity 6) - PN 014441434
    • Washers ss - #6 (quantity 4)
    • Nyloks ss – 6 x 1.0 (quantity 4)
See pictures. Could probably write more details in a DIY if anyone is interested.

    Hey Brian, thanks for posting.
Quick question, were the screw holes to mount them already there or did you have to drill and tap them yourself?
Oh and is your interior Crema or Sabbia? Post some pictures of the whole car!

There are two screw holes on the LH drivers side for the original footrest that are just reused for the new footrest. On the RH passengers side, you have to make holes in the carpeted fiberboard piece then put nuts/washers on the backside. I did finish a DIY which is attached - MSWord file. Hope this file works for you. If not, let me know, and copy/paste into the post.

The car is Crema interior and Rosso Fiorano exterior. Here are a couple pics.

Beautiful, red convertible with a white interior, can't get any better than that!

Very interested in doing this myself but not sure if I want to tackle drilling the passenger side.

Where did you order your parts from?

    Thks

Parts were purchased from Scuderiacarparts.com. Total was under 300 shipped to US.

Passenger side is really just punching holes through the fiberboard panel. I didn't drill because you can pull the carpet fibers and create an ugly run in the carpet. Not sure if this is the case with these carpets, but just easier to punch a hole. Location is very easy to determine because the back side has four recessed circles that you use as the guide and punch a hole in the center or each. See picture which shows the recesses with the nuts installed on the backside.

By the way, I'm also in FL on the West Coast.

Many thanks for the excellent information and in instructions which were very helpful. Just installed the footrests in my M with no problems. Big improvement.

Excellent! It's good to know the instructions also work for the Portofino M.
