Portofino Android Auto

If you have the optional code SMRT Smartphone connectivity, just connect the USB cable to the Android phone. It works as carplay than.

 

I have Portofino M with the SMRT optional but doesn't work with my Samsung S24 (Android 14) or S21 5g (Android 11) or Note 9 (Android 10). Any suggestion?

 

Get one of the wireless dongles (e.g. carlinkit). I also had issues with newer androids, but the wireless works fine even if it is a bit slow to connect.

 

I have a 2019 with carplay and asked the dealer. They checked and I would not be able to add android auto. If the OP was thinking of that route as an option.

 

But in my car there is the option SMRT that means that I suppose to be able to use the Android auto, but doean't work either with my wife Apple 14. Very strange,,

 

I tried the usb adapter blutooth that I use in the Alfa Stelvio (that works very well) but nothinng with the Ferrari unit.

Hi, I don't like the iPhone, but I tried the Iphone 14 as well, it is not the last model but has the same age of the Portofino, so suppose to work with the 14 model. But no success. Which model of Iphone do you know it works?

 

I’ve got the iPhone 14 Pro Max , my car as Apple car play but I did have trouble getting it connect via the wired connection not sure if it’s the port that was the issue
I brought the ******* kit and it connects instantly every time wirelessly

 

Hello everyone, I'm new here. I bought a 2020 Portofino with the SMRT option and it worked flawlessly. I've just upgraded to a 2021 Portofino M, again with SMRT option but nothing... No carplay or android auto. It's currently with the dealer who can't understand why it's not working. Their fix is to buy me a 3rd party system (about £900) but I'd much prefer the SMRT to actually work. I'm wondering if some cars with the SMRT option just didn't actually get fitted at factory?

I have a 2022 Portofino M with SMRT it also does not connect to android auto with my Samsung flip 6 phone. Ended up buying the Motorola M1A wireless device and it works now.

Hi, I have a model 2021 my Samsung S24 doesn't work but I have seen in my car working other Samsung models, I will bring at the dealer this week to update the software, finger crossed will work. I can not understand how is possible that the cheaper models Samsung works without problem. Which mobile brand do you have? And which model?

 

I have an S25 Ultra but it worked on my previous Portofino.
