Everyone's entitled to their opinion. The good news for anyone who doesn't like the current design direction is there are plenty of excellent pre-owned Ferraris.

I saw the car last night and- no surprise- it looks much better in person than the pictures. And I thought it looked pretty good in pics. I'm really impressed with the PF design. I think it looks great!

Thank you. That was my guess. But, it looked lighter than GS that I test drove.
Probably difference in exposure. Mine is also an iPhone pic.

I sometimes mix it up with the Canna di Fucile (Gunmetal Grey) when under certain light conditions.

i just cannot like this car.
way too many dips, angles, vents, ducts, flips, swoops, etc it looks like the designers just threw every design element they could think of at it.
    no fluidity.
the lights are awful, the face is awful.
i am not their target market of course.

frankly i think the new aston vantage looks better and will steal market share from this car.

    once again, i miss pf.

Ross, just to your point about Aston taking market share, I just test drove a DB11 v12 then a California, then a Portofino. Pro’s to Aston, exterior looks and material inside the car. Cons: very heavy, Mercedes technology, slower shift time, no dual clutch, no convertible, cornering, price is greater than the Ferrari.

    I say good luck Aston.

Ross,I agree with you. The last beautiful v-8 was the 360. The F12 is not attractive and later versions are even less attractive (TdF,812). The FF is even uglier than the old XK-E 2+2. Performance versions of v-8s to seem get uglified as part of the process (CS,Scuderia,16M,etc.). Current Maseratis are ugly blobs. What happened to beautiful styling as part of the package when you buy an expensive Italian car?

I disagree. The F12 is a work of art.

to be clear, what i was trying to say is that the new aston vantage is a more attractive car to me than the portofino, and i would not be surprised if ferrari lost portofino sales to this aston vantage.

i did not mention the db11. that is a completely different car, aimed at a non-ferrari demographic.

Hi, if anyone has pics of the PF in Rosso Portofino with diamond forged alloys, please post! That’s what I’m going for I think (with yellow calipers, shields and full cuoio interior)

PS. Anyone actually taken delivery of their car yet? Pls post pics!

I ordered my Portofino in Rosso Portofino with standard rims and aluminum calipers. I liked the design and curves of the standard rim that pick up the shape of the Portofino. The forged diamond rims do look great but agree the yellow calipers would look better with this rim. The two tone paint with black roof also stands out with these rims. Mine is on schedule to be built in July.

Does not sound like it from the Personalization Programme. Sounds like 2 layers.

A tinted layer usually needs to be topped by a clear layer though, otherwise polishing, paint correction etc could cause lighter colored spots.

Sounds like the classic hot rodders' Candy Apple Red. No pearlescent layer, unlike other tri-stratos. Third layer may be just a clear (?).
