Again, more silly. 1) You on the one hand claim there's no SUV, then confirm there is one. I don't know how to debate you contradicting yourself in back to back sentences. 2) Sergio Marchionne runs both companies, so the distinction you're drawing is a semantic one. The management of Ferrari is the management of Chrysler/FIAT. Period. You can spin that any way you want, but who owns what shares of which has nothing to do with how Ferrari is being run. And the introduction of an SUV, which Marchionne had claimed he'd never abide, shows that to be true. 3) Ford does in fact make a fast revving flat plane cranked engine, and put it in the flagship Mustang. But again, since you're high on bluster and low on facts, you wouldn't know that. 4) This forum has more than one car snob on it. Not a lot. But a few. People who think they have some supreme knowledge of cars (you clearly do not), and some purist ideology that everyone else is supposed to accept. But when this company you have deified is run by the same management that builds Ram trucks and Caravans, your high and mighty rhetoric starts sounding pretty hollow. Fortunately, those of your ilk are a minority here. Ferrari is building SUVs. That is a fact. So your purist argument dies with that link. Thanks for playing.
REALZEUS and Shotgun Styles. Put each other on ignore. Clearly you can't behave in a civil manner towards each other, two reports on your posts this morning are testimony that it's more than a bit annoying to the other folks posting in the thread, so I recommend it. Failing that, STOP RESPONDING TO EACH OTHER HERE. Find some other place to argue, like by PM (oops sorry, by conversation) so that the rest of the people in the thread dont have to read your back and forth. As to the rest who find them annoying, PUT THEM ON IGNORE as well. Hopefully, problem solved, I'd hate to hand out thread bans to fix this, so chill, ok? Thanks, D
I'm Sicilian by extraction, so a little bickering is fine by me! I have not seen this pic posted here. From this link. https://wallpapersmug.com/w/download/3840x2400/2018-ferrari-portofino-4k-0d852e Image Unavailable, Please Login I'm still not clear if Rosso PF is two or three layer & what the "flop" effect is, but this color looks fantastic in this lighting...T
It's been mentioned here as a 3-layer special paint that costs several thousand $$$. It's similar to "cherry red". Here's a photo under the sun.
I think this pic was posted already. But it is quite a few pages back. There seems to be a slow down in new Portofino content being posted to social media. My guess would be that we're between the test drive tour and the delivery of new cars to customers. And the review season hasn't started yet. Things will probably get real interesting around the end of summer when more people get to take cars home, and major media get their hands on dealer cars to do final reviews.
From the Official Ferrari Magazine Translation: This metallic triple layer paint is precisely called Portofino Red. https://magazine.ferrari.com/it/auto/2018/03/20/news/ferrari_colors_rosso_portofino_rosso_corsa_racing_red-38210/
And we're going to see several other colors other than the Reds, Greys, Blues etc., and models without shields. Maybe sometime we'll also see Tailor-Made Portofinos, like Greg.B's one.
It is the only green on the Configurator menu (I am sure that others are available through Atelier or Tailor Made): Verde British (British Racing Green).
No SUV you don’t know what you are talking about sir. And the fact that you continue to mention and compare to American cars whilst on a Ferrari forum says it all...
