Has anyone painted the Portofino rear bumper/diffuser either in gloss black or body color? The OEM rear bumper/diffuser comes from Ferrari in cheap looking black plastic. I think it takes away from the overall great looks of the Portofino. My 2019 Portofino is Argentino Nurburgring with a carbon fiber front spoiler and carbon under door sills. I am thinking about painting the rear bumper/diffuser gloss black to match the carbon fiber exterior parts or body color. Your thoughts……

I agree that the textured matte black plastic lower trim does not have the "premium" look that you'd expect on a Ferrari. That's why I had the front splitter, side skirts, and rear diffuser on my Roma Spider painted gloss black. It looks a lot better now in my opinion.

Can you post photos of your car so I can see how it looks like currently? Since you already have a carbon fiber front slitter and side skirts, I think it would look better (and much more cohesive) if you replaced your rear diffuser with a carbon fiber one. The other option is to paint the rear diffuser in gloss black along with the front splitter and side skirts. I think it would be a shame to paint over the carbon fiber though.

programmatore: The carbon fiber front splitter and the carbon fiber side skirts came from Novitec and they were extremely expensive. To purchase the rear bumper/diffuser part in carbon from Ferrari will be around $20,000.00. I am going to just paint the rear bumper/diffuser in high gloss black which will be close enough to matching all of the Novitec carbon fiber pieces that I have purchased and installed on the exterior of my Portofino.

If your Novitec carbon bits don't already have PPF installed, you could consider having black PPF installed to match the rear diffuser once you get that painted. Better than painting over the carbon.

I agree , the plastic bits look cheap . I had mine wrapped in carbon forever and it looks amazing ( IMHO ) and at a far lower cost than having carbon fibre . We wrapped the bumpers and various other parts from new ( door lowers , air intakes etc ) and it looks just like carbon . The cost was also substantially less than the circa 25k plus for proper carbon and after 3 years on my 22 Porto M still looks great !!

Here’s mine painted from factory with the Dreamline again done at the factory. I’m not sure how much Ferrari charge for this but I heard it’s around £10k for them to do the rear diffuser in gloss black
Maybe some one can confirm the price ?? They even put matching Dreamlines on the steering wheel
The standard plastic looks rubbish I would have preferred carbon diffuser I’ve got carbon under doors covers and front spoiler and everything else I think it’s an altier option
But yeah I love it it looks mint and matches the carbon and definitely matches my new black wheels

Someone around here at one point talked about having plastic pieces "hydro dipped" to match carbon fiber and it turned out very nice.
