I am going to implement a Point of Sale system at my biz as currently we manually enter inventory in and out each time we have a sale to a customer or purchase from a vendor and we are not able to keep track of customer's buying history or equipment that they own. Yes, I know...very archaic. Anyways, I have been told that Quick Books POS is a great program for such. We would want to keep track of inventory, keep records on our customer's equipment (snowblowers, lawn mowers, pressure washers, etc.) as far as the model and brand, when it was in here last, what was done to it, etc. and also to be able to generate an invoice from each computer instead of having to go up front to the office gal each time we check someone out. We were quoted $1048/computer x 3 on e-bay for version 9.0 for the software w/ the bar code reader, credit card reader, cash drawer, & receipt printer. I am not verse in this area at all, so I am getting this info from my customer service guy so ANY advice would be GREATLY appreciated so I do not make a mistake and buy the wrong software. Thanks! Jerry.
