Possibe to degree qv cams while engine still in ???

    Aside from being hard to do, can it be done ? Not planning on running air pump or cats, would you euro spec the cam timing ? Car is an 83 QV. I read somewhere on here that I could'nt ask a stupid question so I'm testing the waters ! Thanks

    You decide what spec you want it set to. It can be done in the car, just a little frustrating. Get a good mirror.

    Yes, it can be done. Just find a small enough wheel to clear the waterpump, etc., etc.. I have a large one and I cant use it. So I made one by copying one off the ineternet and gluing it to cardboard. Later I scribed one out of aluminum sheet. And yes, you can alter the valve timing around.

    You are a very lucky man. So how many miles are on this "Queen"?

    www.summitracing.com sells several sizes of timing wheels. Some of them are small enough so they can be mounted to the front of the damper using a triangular hole pattern for 3 screws w/washers that pick up the edge of the pulley.

    24,000 miles - got the radiator and all the coolant out today, tommorrow draining the gas and replacing all the fuel lines.
