I had the parking brake on when I was driving. As someone had mentioned here, I hadn’t fully disengaged it, doesn’t squeal at all now.

Have it looked at when you can. There are a number of fragile parts in there that can break when that happens. Not usually serious or expensive if addressed soon.

@Arizona30 Congrats and welcome to the club.
Did you get the early history of the car ? Do you know the original dealer seller please ?

The car was originally purchased in Florida and then in 2006 a new owner took possession in Wisconsin until last fall when the California dealer bought it. Quite a bit of maintenance was done in 2016 and it’s been driven 5k since then. The car has been repainted and the interior replaced but since I wanted a driver and not a collector item it suits me fine. Looks like the only change in the engine bay is a Tubi exhaust which I don’t know if fellow owners like or not. Hope to drive it some tomorrow.

the main thing to me would be Compression test - high 150's to 170s you are good to to. less or erratic scores can mean issues. I would think however the engine would be in good shape with 80K miles ... I'd want a car that has been used vs. one that sits.

all that said - routine mtns on the 328 is not too bad but replacing hoses and re building things are to be expected. My 328 was largely trouble free - but you can expect electric gremlins and some brittle vacuum hoses ( unless they have all been replaced lately ) .. hope all goes well, the 328 is a gem of a car.

Follow up: all the cylinders tested in the 170s during inspection. I found an independent Ferrari mechanic in North Phoenix that will look at the car in a few weeks as soon as he is free. Right now it’s just nice to walk out to the garage and look at it, but I do plan on driving it… a lot.
