Well, after having my mechanic conduct a PPI yesterday, the West Palm Beach car turned out to be a pass. There was simply too much wrong with it for my standards. Fixing everything properly would've made it at least a $130K car and I'd prefer to start with a better foundation.

I'm happy to share the details with anyone via PM. Now, I'm waiting for my deposit to be returned and hoping that it won't turn into a fiasco. So far today, one unanswered email (just over six hours) and one unanswered voicemail (though that's only been a few minutes).

Yep, it may take a few months, but it'll work out fine. There's always another car just around the corner.

On the upside, I was very pleased with the 599 from a driving perspective. Powerful, quick, and surprisingly comfortable. I've driven most of the modern V8 cars, but this was only my third V12. I could definitely get accustomed to having it in the garage!

Fair point that there are drivers and concourse cars. Low miles concourse cars are not selling at the bottom prices. I suspect that 165 or so will get you a lower mile factory HGTE car in very good condition, but I have no proof of that.

Good pass on that car. Keep looking. The 599 is a joy to drive.
