    I am in the finishing stages of restoring my 348 and one of the last parts I need are the inner window scraper seals. This is the extruded plastic piece that fits atop the door panel next to the door glass. I have looked everywhere to find a set and of course they are no longer available and appear to be unobtanium. They seem prone to crack due to the material they are made from and the amount of heat they are exposed to.

    Being unable to find them it turns me to the only other solution which is to recreate them. I have found a plastic extruding company willing to create all the tooling etc necessary for the job for a pretty reasonable price. I am guessing they will want a minimum order. Is there anyone interested in purchasing a set for their car?

    (If someone has a perfect set laying around I would gladly purchase them at a premium)

    If you find somewhere to get cheap outers, id be interested. Mine seems to have warped a little

    OK great, I have sent a sample to the plastics company for molding purposes-and to confirm 100% its something they can create. They will then be able to provide me the exact costs etc to create the proper tooling/unit cost etc. If this goes well I will see about having them recreate the outer seal as well, anyone know if its still available???

    funny, since I responded to this post ive driven my car twice and the air leaking though the seals is driving me crazy. never did before till this posting. thanks ktr6!
