Possible to decode original specs/build options via VIN?

    I know the BMW guys have access to a database that decodes a car's build sheet as it left from the factory, is there something similar for Ferrari? Just want to check if a specific car had the HGTC kit (it has the wheels, but that's probably not concrete enough).

    AB- No, the VIN will not tell you that. Easiest way to tell is to look for the 398 mm CCM front brakes or look for the double wall tailpipes. Those 19" wheels were optional on all 575Ms since day 1 of production.

    Carbon and I keep a list of HGTCs, so give us the VIN and we can check against known VINs. Odds are if you are just using the wheels as an indicator, she is not an HGTC. In Canada/US, if she is not an 05 MY, she is not an HGTC.
