So I'm considering an F430 but I previously strayed away because someone had told me the 430s are prone to a specific issue not covered by warranty (I think he said something about the exhaust?). I mentioned it in the general forum here and haven't heard anything about that but was told that there are an issue with the headers cracking and clutch wear. This being said, what questions should I be asking dealers when I inquire about a 430? Ask for a recent clutch reading and any history of header cracking/the condition of header?

Curious on your opinions of this listing:

Exhaust manifolds are prone to cracking or the pre cat breaking up and being sucked back into the engine. You can remove some of the ferrari exhaust brackets and fit a Capristo expansion bracket to allow the exhaust to expand better. This is a good mod to do.
At this miles you need to check if the upper and lower ball joints have been changed, have they refitted ferrari ones or upgraded to hill engineering. Swivel joints on the steering and rear tie bar are also prone to failure and better again to refit hill engineering rather than ferrari bits.

put car on lift and get the weight off the wheels- grab wheel at 3 and 9 o clock and rock it to see if any movement- this is wear in the swivel joints

Clutch wear reading for certain, is it original or replaced as 3 owners.
Last F1 fluid flush , last gear box oil change,
Do the doors lock from inside,
The 4 tail lights can become loose as the plastic attachment pillars can crack- use you hand to see if all firm with no movement up and down or side to side.
I looked at the pics but all black and hard to see detail,

Look for a complete tool kit, tire inflator, flashlight in the glovebox, service records, new tires? These may seem like small items, but the cost adds up quick if they are missing.
I just bought a 2009 and paid $300 for the flashlight because it was missing. The brake fluid hadn't been flushed in a few years and was dark colored, etc.
I've spent many hours on Ferrari Chat and YouTube learning about the car, and saved a lot of money doing things myself.
