One of the nicest flying little biplanes that I have flown was a Travel Air/Curtiss. Powered by a 145 Warner. Really a nice friendly good performing little airplane.
There is most of a top half of a 747 out there also rescued from the boneyard, Big Imagination Imagine this Baron came from the same place...better then the scrap heap...

He did 20 in the AF as an A-10 and F-16 pilot, and 23 with SWA, logging over 20,000 flying hours covering 7 million miles. It was an honor to be on this flight with him. Taxiing under two water cannon fountains was pretty cool.
I've been trying to post some video, the Wright engine has a very distinct sound. FChat keeps telling me the 17 and 35 second MP4 videos are too large ...so when I have time I'll try to figure out how to post them....
"Pélé" is what we all know him by...even his crews at SWA call him that. But anyway, he was well-appreciated and honored last Friday night at a party at his home in Phoenix.

Somewhere above Atlantic ocean, LHR - MIA on 747. Such a nice, steady and quiet plane. Entertainment was quite outdated but luckily phones and tablets take care of it. So used to it now a days that it is bit weird that there is no wall plugs for charging. Image Unavailable, Please Login
