They do it once a day, to "clean up" the standby passengers (such as myself) and all the bumped ones from overbooked flights. Usually a 767, although my daughter's first flight was a 787-900 YOW-YYZ.
This was a similar case but I looked into it a bit. The 767 (tail number I researched) was cancelled the day before and therefore flew elsewhere. I believe it went Ottawa - > Halifax - > London. I don't remember now. I really don't think it was overbooking as Air Canada has almost 20 flights a day YYZ to YOW. Of these 20 it is safe to say that atleast 5 of them will be A320/767 and the rest will be the E190. Now that I think about it you know all this hahaha... Either way it was nice to be on the big bird for the short hop. It was even nicer to be in the premium economy and getting off the plane quickly. Hope all is well with you! Will you be guiding me in tomorrow? My currently flight is WestJet536 expected to land at midnight but I am trying to hop on an earlier flight. This would put me in either 7:15ish or 9:15ish.
Thanks, and you. I'm working tonight, so yes, most likely. YYZ-YOW and back is all E190s as of last spring except for the evening widebody (although in winter it often is replaced by an A320, and they'll add another 320 in the morning)--management would rather deal with the bumpees than have open seats for some odd reason. The 320s all got moved to LGA and YVR. It's a shame, as the E190 never has enough bin space for all the idiots with their two huge carry-ons and I can't stand up straight in it. In the summer it was impossible to get an open seat out of YOW. This time of year it's much better. They've added a couple of evening flights to compensate too. Image Unavailable, Please Login

My neighbors house is for sale. Nice place, fronting on the runway. I think the Arrow is for sale as well! http://www.barnettassociates.net/property/1226802/ https://www.frontierairpark.org/
Ah, try the Tule Fog in it's namesake region. Denser than most chumps. That's sayin' sumpin'. Despite that, I don't ever recall school closures. Instead of outdoor fun, snotnoses had to go to auditorium for lame films. I'm told it's actually been scarce this year due to long drought though. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using Tapatalk

PHNL to RJAA. Honolulu to Tokyo Narita. I have a nice 48 hr layover then RJAA back to KSEA. Then I'll hop on Ak Air back home to PAFA. I had a 3 day trip followed by the current 12 day trip I'm on. Really ready to be home. I usually don't work this much but I bought myself a motorcycle so it's nice to pick up a little extra work.
Got up above the thunderstorms near Sacramento yesterday to get some sunshine. Image Unavailable, Please Login
