    Guys,

Thanks so much for the help over the last three weeks
on my battery acid (corrosion) problem per my post, GT4
    under surgery. She is well!!!!

You all have helped totally. She, my Italian mistress
is back on the northern California roads.

I today attempted to acquire a quality photo shoot
of one of the most difficult F's to deal with.

I hope I have done what I have intended, give the
GT4 her just photo due. Enjoy.

Thanks again for the help on a ***** of a problem,
    the corrsison was extensive.

    Cheers from Mill Valley,
    Dwight

    That's a nice looking GT4!
Does it have a vent or duct in front of the rear wheels? I haven't seen that before.

Nice photos (and car). I must agree that the GT4 is hard to photograph. I have tried for years to get a good photo of my GT4 but have never been very successful. The eye picks up the lines in 3D in a way that the camera can not. One good thing from the photographic adventure is that you really become aware of the GT4's subtle design features that often go unnoticed and unappreciated.

"Does it have a vent or duct in front of the rear wheels? I haven't seen that before."
I have seen several GT4s and even GTB/S with "custom" ducts in front of the rear wheels. It was the thing to have back in the Boxer days. All too often it was part of rust repair.

    Nice looking car!!!

I really like the way those ducts look on the car. Gives the GT4 an even more agressive look.

Sorry to take so long to respond.

The ducts on S/n 10564 were done during her 3/4 restoration.
3/4 meaning everything BUT the engine. She was totally
de-rusted, and as we fellow GT4'ers know rust is rampant.

It was determined, albiet, with many fellow Tifosi that ducts
would be professionally built into the chassis to relieve aft
compartment heating issues that we all face during operation.

In fact, this has been true. My 308 runs a clear 15-30 degrees F
(water) not oil, cooler, plus saves much on internal wire and plastic
component stress. It is prudent, with all the classics I have owned
to lift all bonnets post road run anyway. I have always done this.

I have been told by many many fellow F'ers who have seen my car
that there is ABSOLUTELY no devaluation in the car for this
    Modificata.

For what it is worth, I love my GT4, and I hope that it shows.
    Pix provided to show ducts.

    Cheers mates,
    Dwight
