Hehe, here's me autocrossing my daily driver 300,000 mile Mercedes-Benz 300SD Turbodiesel....

coming soon to an SCCA event near you! :D

..forget sports cars in an autocross, the look on those peoples' faces in the pic either says "holy s**t, this guy's friggin nuts!" or "damn, I didn't know 4,000 pounds of Stuttgart Panzerwagen can be tossed around like that!". Probably the first reaction, though ;)

    Cheers,
    Aaron

And why not? If there was ever a Ferrari that "blended in" with the rest of the automotive landscape, it was the 400 and its relatives. I once heard it described as "the Buick of Ferraris". But at least it still has a V-12 under the hood!

2000 Civic SI, a pretty sporty little car in its own right, and probably more likely to get stolen than the 328. (This was taken when I bought it nearly 7 years ago. The Accord on the far side is the car it replaced.)

It *is* the buick of Ferraris. Of course, this is like being the least pretty supermodel - it is still pretty great! I replaced a 2004 Audi A8l that I bought new with this 400i, and it is 10x the enjoyment at a fraction of the price.

What do you think of the car? Did you have problems with it? Friend of mine is planning to buy one some day... :)

2001 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner. My first car. I plan to replace it in the next 2-3 years with either a Maserati Coupe Cambiocorsa, Corvette C6, Cadillac STS, MB E350 (or 500), or an F-car....if I get a good job out of college. :D

Beautifully said, she would be the fullest-figure model at the party for sure. I have a 400A, and nobody I know believes me when I say the Ferrari beats every 'modern' car I've had, a very good Porsche, a muddled Mercedes, a dull BMW, that's about it but it's enough evidence, because those are good cars despite the faults I find. They're really fun to drive, but they lack that roaring exhaust broadcast in the Italian language, "Three thousand bucks minimum next time." I've just bought a 2000 Alfa Romeo Berlina and will take delivery in two weeks or so. It's a close to pristine example. All appears original, a responsiblity I don't want but the things is about perfect. Maybe I'll start a new thread, something brief, comparing the two Italian models I have. I'm sure there are myriad similarities.
