    Jimmy, let's put it on the dyno at my dealership and see what it does. With those mods, I am going to guess 117 hp. A regular 996 will do about 108 on a dyno.

    It's an open offer. Bring it anytime.

    Sure, I've always wonder why my 996 Bip has a little bit more power than others, there's a yellow 996 Bip w/ almost idential mods (FIM + SI, no Web Filter) only gets 121 on the same Dyno at European Cycle. My 2001 996 Mono (stock chip & Remus Slip-On) gets 118.2 on the same Dyno. Where is your shop located? Also can I bring a 999S, a friend of mine just got it on Monday and he wants to see how his 998 CC Testastretta can do (too bad its not a 999R) :D

    It's in Denver. There probably will be a point that you have it out here. Many guys from SoCal bring their bikes out here to ride in the mountains in the summer.

    My engine builder might be in Southern California at some point this year to install his new engine management software at one of the dealerships around LA. If he is, I'll have him check out your bike on the dyno and give you the run down. He is one of the best in the world with Ducati superbike race prep and engine management. He'll be able to tell you what's up. He has built numerous 996 and 748 race engines (which run on the same software).

    I bought it last June.... Took delivery on it at the beginning of July. It's been great, a few little issues, but no biggie... Had the 30K done this last winter, so it's like brand new now and running great. I also had a TUBI put on too...

    I think the car sounds like a TR, but it's pretty quiet since it has the factory Euro exhaust reinstalled. There are -FOUR- mufflers... I am hoping to find a Tubi or Ansa, which would eliminate the two side pod muffers and give it more sound/performance.

    Gary, I had the pleasure of driving a 512BB (no "i") last weekend. It had the Ansa muffler and was a total joy to the ears. Like a real race car.

    Thanks, NNO. I agree with you on Porsches being underrated. I had a 99 base boxster a couple years ago and that was a blast to drive. I just picked this up Saturday and put 150 miles on it..... what a difference from the base to the "S". I couldn't be happier.
