I've wondered if a thread like this would start. There are some NICE gt4s here. It's very cool to see them. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Ok 2 guys, no I won't say who, have PM'd me asking about the above statement. If you don't know, the correct way to check the oil in a GT4 is right after you shut it down and NOT after it has been sitting for a few minutes. The oil in the oil cooler and lines will drain into the sump and give you a false reading. If you're at the full mark when the car has been sitting then try this. Start it up and let it run a while. Shut it off and check the oil right away. You'll be 2 quarts low (almost 20%). Not good. .

Joseph thats a curious A/C set up that you have.Do you or anyone else know if that was original? How well does it cool?
Hey Peter, good to talk to you last night. thanks again for the help. The answer is I think that is Mike C.'s car. I don't know his last name but his name was Mike and he said he was from Bowen Ilse. Really nice guy and a beautiful 365. The club that was here (Kelowna, B.C.) was the Northwest Club...alot of cars from Wash St. Anyone on this chat line in Kelowna this past weekend?
Yes. I saw that too. But I believe it's the normal one you see located above the center console and next to the steering column. Never seen one under the glovebox like that though. I wonder if it has extra fans. That might help it cool better. A bit bulky looking. But hey! If you live in a hot climate, it's probably nice to have something (anything) that works better than the one-hole'er I have!
Yes, that's Mike and he was participating in the Kelowna trip organised by the Northwest Region of the FCA (see their thread in the Northwest Region of THIS WEBSITE for photos).

Maurice, The AC unit was made by A.R.A. No idea if they are still in business.I lived in Canada that time and it was on the car when I bought it.It has a three speed fan and three levels of cooling. It works well, but I live in Ohio, so it is a relative statement.
Thanks Joseph for clearing that up.The sevice bulletin upgrade was only for fitting an additional air outlet in the centre console which helped improve the airflow marginally
Here's the mod: (Note: I didn't post the pic of the hole to cut) Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks David thats the mod I was referring to.As can be seen its different to Josephs car.Josephs car has a larger evaporator and probably a stronger fan where the mod in Davids post only shows how to redirect the air.If any of you GT4 owners are interested on how to get the most air flow through the stock A/C system with a little modification feel free to ask.
I found the thread where I posted pics of my mod.http://70.85.40.84/~ferrari/forum/showthread.php?t=61548

My car is being featured in the September issue of Practical Performance Car Its nice to see it in print but the S**Ts have credited the car to someone else and the editorial is awful! They recon you can have a nice one on your drive for 8k pounds - I don't think so, and you have to follow the car around with a dustpan and brush to clean up the rust. Here are picks taken last week. Little Dino was in the shop having the driving lights replaced (they had to remove more than the front grill to do this). Oil change, etc. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
