Sometimes I forget why I love these cars in the first place. I put 75 miles on the car last night, and it was was worth it. Open highway, slightly cool night, The TR drove like a champ. Now I can put it back in the garage until Concourse Italiano on Sept. 19th. Thanks to those who reminded me what the car is for.

That's got to be some kind of record!

How are the "consumables" holding out -- tires, clutch, brakes, etc.... ?

My '82 308 was a garage queen. Bought it in June 2000 with 32,000 miles. Sold it in January of 2003 with 38,600 miles.
My '91 TR is not a garage queen. Bought it in March 2003 with 11,000 miles, and she just turned 19,600 miles yesterday. Get out there and drive!!

I've completely consumed one set of tires.
Half consumed another. And third consumed a third set.

I've used up one set of brake pads.

Clutch seems fine... haven't gotten a clutch wear measurement from
    the SD2 yet.

Note well: those are NOT 10,000 gentle miles, or even "typical street miles"... the car is used as Enzo intended Ferraris to be used. ;) I would expect the typical CS to consume less in the same miles.

I'm trying to keep your legacy alive with your "old" beater :).....I've put on 5,000 miles on her since end of April. And I haven't even left Dallas County yet!

    Happy driving!

That's awesome! Couldn't have gone to a better home.

Well... except for the part about Dallas County... you've got to get out more! Take a spin down to the hill country! Austin's not that far. Or to MSR. Or somewhere with fun twisty roads... and some pretty scenery.

Hey, wait a minute... I know you've had it to Collin County and Grayson County... does "Evolution" ring a bell? ;) We have pictures! ;)

LOL! You are right...I did cross the line to two adjacent counties and totally forgot about it. Maybe I should have just said I haven't strayed more than an hour away from home. Let me know if you take a drive out to some of those windy roads in the country - I'd like tag along. (If I can keep up!)

Took delivery of '98 355 GTS in the last week of February with 12,200 miles on the clock. I broke 15K a few days ago. I expect to put about 6k-7k per year on it, including a trip to New Orleans for the French Quarter Classic. Although I haven't had time yet, the car will also spend some time on the track at MSR (and No Problems Raceway during the FQC).

    Garage queens suck. :)

My 1990 348ts has just over 58,000 miles on it. It will break 60,000 miles in a month or two. Ferrari's belong on the road, not in the garage.

earnie- My 348 had just over 20,000 miles when I purchased it in California. I flew out, and drove it back to SC. Since we do not have harsh winters here in the Carolinas, It is on the road year round. I don't understand keeping these cars locked away in a garage. Other than scheduled service, the car has never been in the shop for major repairs. It runs as good, if not better, than it did with 20,000 miles!!!!!

That is awesome Jay! I plan on putting loads of miles on mine also. I didn't buy it for the next guy to enjoy.

I wonder if anyone has over 200k miles on their Ferrari? Now that would be something.
