I have found what I hope to be a good deal.

The major hurdle is it's 800+ miles away. So I have to get everything together in one inspection.

I know a fair bit about cars, did lot's of work on my '69 Mach1, change the pads on my wife's Beemer, etc. So I know my way around.

I'm going to pull a Carfax on it.

The 3rd owner, has limited service receipts, some work has been done by a dealership and some by an independant. The engine came out in '03, for the belt, and replacing of valve parts... (Around $12,000 for this)
and a minor service in October($6,000). 36,000 miles on the car.

    The owner confesses to:
    Dash shrinkage.
    Cracked (aligator style) seats
    tubi exhaust

Things I read in the service history that concern me...
    Replaced mismatched coil springs
Replaced shocks (owner provided used units)??
Sway bar mounting stud repaired (including welding)??

Anywayz the help I need from you guys/gals is, I know every car has it's quirks, and not having owned one ...yet I don't know what to look out for.

    Can you guys help?

I'll add new facts as they surface in the CarFax

It's a Black 95 F355B. Born in California when to Charleston, then on to Oregan.
    Repair facilities involved...
European Road and Racing in NC
    Tonkin Ferrari in Portland
    ATD in Portland

    Anyone know this car?

if it's the same black 95 B that's been on autotrader in Oregon for about a year, it has title issues. Carfax will show it if it is the same car. Good luck!
