Yep! Finished the neuroscience PhD in the UK, moved back to the States, and had a career change to get into real estate. I'm living with my wife in North Alabama, not far from my parents. My sister, her husband, and her kids are up in North Virginia.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Well alright! I always assumed you were from the UK originally. This car is in NOVA, @zygomatic found it. He’s 3/3 for the sports cars in my garage!

    It’s here!

I’m quite glad I went with this one. Owner was very reasonable and that left me plenty of room to address a few leaks, etc., though to be honest I’m yet to see a drop. After driving the car -HARD- I’m not sure I’ll have to worry about the motor any time soon. I may, and if I do so be it, but it feels STRONG. I’m finding I like Varioram and may prefer it…? I don’t know, I like the “ring it out” nature of the ‘95s a lot too, but zero complaints here. The lightweight flywheel makes big, big difference.
Took me a quick minute to get rev matching wired.

I’m now in the very fortunate and rare position of having a new car that I love that has also reinforced my love of my other similar (and according to some, “lesser”) car. The 993 has in no way diminished my love for my 996. In fact, I drove them back to back and found the contrast and compliment to be absolute perfection. Just magic.

    Congrats again!

Actually I think you make a good point about your 993 complementing your 996 and not replacing it in your affections. When I had my 356 and Ferrari 308, it wasn’t a matter of which was better. They were very different experiences to drive, and every drive was a privilege.

Agree completely. I DD’d our 993TT for 10 years through snowy winters and with car seats in the back when the kids were young. I know it wouldn’t be everybody’s cup of tea but it built some amazing family memories. Still have it and hope to pass it down to the kids.

I love it!!! Great spec on that Turbo too!!

My son has already claimed this 993 and named it “Minilla” because he loves Baby Godzilla so much. :)

I rather daftly passed on a black/black, perfect 993TT with 23,000 miles for…$80k. That was about eleven years ago. Argh!!
