    If any one has a copy of this out of print and hard to find book, I am trying to locate a photo of the Andre Guelfi driven 250 TdF (chassis #0731) that I believe is mentioned and hopefully shown on pages 230 and/or 236. If anyone can scan a picture from this book, or any other publication that shows this car, I would be grateful. It is currently owned by J.F. Malle in France. Thanks.

    In the 1957 Tour de France, on Sept. 15-21, car #166 was driven by Andre Simon and Jean Aumas. It was a dnf due to an accident.

    I am guessing here, but based on what I have found on the history of 0731, it raced in 1957 as car #166, then was sold to Guelfi who raced it in 1958. I have no info on what number ir raced in 1958, but it did have some success before a big crash at Rheims. This is the description from the following website http://www.wspr-racing.com/chassis/chassis.html

    Delivered to Malle in France on 4/4/57. Scaglietti Comp. Berlinetta. Red with stripe. Registration #GE 66444. 1957: 15-21/9: Tour de France: DNF (crash). Race #166. Simon/Jean Aumas. 27/10: Biere/Marchairuz Hill: 166 1st in GT. Aumas. 1958: Sold to Guelfi, Paris. 7/4: Pau 3 hours: 6th OA. Guelfi. 13/4: Montlhery Coupe du Printemps: 1st in GT. Guelfi. 18/5: Spa GP: 3rd OA. Guelfi. 6/7: Rheims 12 Hours: DNF (bad crash). Guelfi/Gurney. 5/10: Montlhery Coupes du Salon: DNF. Guelfi/Gurney. 1959: Sold to Cicoira. Sold to Thepenier. Sold. 1989: Advertised for sale through Wes Clark Classic Cars, Dallas, Texas. 1996: Sold to J.F. Malle in France.

    The only way to know for certain is if Aardy who posted the picture can clarify the date/event of this picture and perhaps find one with Guelfi driving. 0731 apparently is now back in the possession of its original owner Jean Francois Malle.

    This is a pic from the 3 hrs of Pau 1958 with Guelfi in #0731GT in front of Seidel, Guichet and Ringoir (from the book "Le Grand Prix de Pau" by Pierre Darmendrail)

    Does anyone have any photos of the car at Rheims before or after the crash? Or with Dan Gurney driving (he was listed as co-driver to Guelfi at Rheims and Montlhery)?
