I still like that console....... and now the dashboard :)!!!

Some may think the 355 motor will go just as fast...... not in a straight line.... the 512TR has so much torque off the line..... its not even close!! I drove my friends chipped 512TR and the bottom-end power was barbaric. The car felt heavier but I could tell the 512TR was waaay more powerful. So IMO that 355 12 cyl is the ultimate combo...... to bad its red.....;) :D

I wonder how much faster it would really be. The old testa is 7 seconds a lap slower than a 355 on the Fiorano track. I know the 512TR is much better but is it that much better. One also has to remember that the Ferrari cars have their weight dispersed accordingly and are designed for a certain engine. The 512TR engine is much heavier and putting it into a 355...hmmmmmm I wonder. Straight line might be faster but I will bet that cornering would be better in a 1 ton pickup.

Is the wheelbase stretched? Or is it the same? Why did the mountain climber climb the mountain? Because it was there. I would love a ride in it.

It does apear longer.... but I think its because of no side markers, pininfarina emblems and the widened rear fenders....

Call me crazy, but the OG wheels look cooler than those. Cool car, though. I personally wouldn't do it to my 355, only because with any more power I would wind up dead or in jail. 355's are great cars as they left the factory, but to each is own. I've always thought it would be fun (and funny) to strap a Viper engine to a Miata, but until I win the state Lottery, it ain't gonna happen.

I love my 355 spider and drove daily my 512TR but there is no comparison. The 3600 pound TR will scare you chipped and with an exhaust. It's that fast and hard acceleratin. The 355 always leaves me wishing it had some real grunt. A TR motor in a 3200 pound 355 spider....now that would be nirvana. Let's not forget the V12 is a flat motor so it's weight height isn't as bad as some althought the gearbox positioning isn't great. Still, this motor has a real race history, unlike the 355 motor.

    oops....:p

yeah that is why I was torn between buying an F355 or the 512TR. The 512TR drivetrain is one of my favorites..... it has such awesome torque!!! That is an awesome picture BTW :D!!

Hey, I thought you had an extra TR motor hanging around that you wanted to install in your 355 Spider? Do it! We all want to see. I remember you saying it kinda fit. :)
