Has anyone found a power coat that matches the OEM silver wheels? I’ve ordered about three dozen swatches from Prismatic Powders and I can’t find one.

Is your wheel the same color as 355’s?

Not advisable to powder coat magnesium wheels.

Good question. I think they’re darker but I would settle for a 355 match. Whatcha got?

I am going to guess you are talking about a 348. 348 wheels were not heavy metallic like 355 and were satin finished, not high gloss..

Never seen a matching powder coat and have always used conventional paint like the factory.

Ok, that jibes with what I’ve read. What color do you use if you don’t mind sharing?

I dont paint. I give them to a paint shop that uses the correct color.

Do you know the specific color code or name of the paint that the your paint shop uses?

If you read the forum you’ll see some people suggest that Argento isn’t the correct color, but rather a silver unique to Speedline.

It’s never been released, but I talked to a guy who is famous in the Speedline restoration world (google “Jim Dorociak”) and he told me he used BMW “titanium silver metallic” as a substitute and he’s very particular.
