We all have that power socket in the middle of the car ... do we find this usefull ? Or not and would it be nice to replace it with 2 x USB connector's ? Now we can load the phone and give the GoPro its power Very easy job, nothing wrecked at all ... just exchange it ! (I can show more photo's if you like it). What's your pinion ? The compressor for tyres needs to plug into a socket. Unless you modify the cable and source the power from somewhere else it could be a problem.
Prob more stable than the cigarette lighter inserts. What brand is the usb ports? Be nice to just have a flush insert verses having to cut wires etc. I'm not very handy
Just bougt it on Ebay ... be sure you get one with led lamp (Think it was this one: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Auto-Steckdose-Zigarettenanzunder-Ladegerat-Adapter-mit-Dual-USB-Buchse-12V-/401059654445?hash=item5d6104ab2d:g:ryAAAOSwpRRWowpp (buy allways two pieces in case .... )) Click out the 5 pins ... and look ... the size of the hole is exact the same ... slip it in, and connect a PLUS and a Minus ... and I incorporated a 10 A fuse. All done ... took me half an hour ... just DO it I left out the rubber cap ... And can easily be restored again without any damage ... Great modification! Did this upgrade today. Please note that the BLACK cable needs to be connected to the PLUS pole of the USB-connector and the BROWN cable needs to be connected to the MINUS pole. So just the other way around as we've all learned in school...always fun with Italian cars ;-)
And: now we have 2 x 2 Amps ... one for the camera and one for a Phone. The little adapters do not provide 2 x 2 Amps
