The slown down and check engine lights in my F355 pop up. Cylinders 5-8. The RPM readings on the dash board dropped to 500 rpm and the engine felt like on 4 cylinders. I could still rev the engine up, but the dashboard only showed 500 rpm. Sounds like it. When my 95 would run on 4 cylinders it was always the cat ECU had failed and then the plugs would foul. Removed the ECUs and have never had a problem since. Don't know if this is your problem or not.
