Research on my 78 Boxer, ex Pozzi, shows a prior ad as "cartier boxer", one of 6, special order from Pozzi, Argento w/ cartier 'lipstick" red interior. I can't find any documentation about this, and the people at pozzi are all too young to remember!!! can anyone help, Fact or Fiction??? thanks

Might they know anything at Cartier?
If not, it sounds like one for Marcel Massini.
I don't know if he still reads his PM's on this board. You may have to contact him through one of the guys on the Vintage section.
    Wayne Ausbrookes for example

I have never heard of a special 6-car series of "Cartier" Boxers, though this doesn't mean that it can't be true, of course.

However, sometimes I see also recent Ferraris advertised with a "Cartier" interior, which then always turns out to be red. Some sellers use names like this, like also "champagne" or "cognac" to describe an interior colour.

Was the advertisement you are referring to from the USA or from France and from which year was it?

And maybe you would like to show the VIN (in this thread or by pm?), so I can have a look in my own database if I can add anything to the history of your BB?

    Kind regards,

    Lars T.

Thanks for the s/n! Does your BB currently still have the original silver/red colour combination? Maybe with a black Boxer paint scheme?

I will ask my friends at the Telaio group if we can trace some history on your car and will report back again here soon.

    Best regards

    Lars

    Hi Mark,

Unfortunately it seems that your BB has not been spotted very often. This is the only history the Telaio gang could come up with, probably the ad you were referring to:

"Offered Aug 2002 by Silverstar Mercedes-Benz, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Silver with lipstick interior & black Daytona inserts. New XWXs. Tools, books & jack. All service hisstory, sold new by Pozzi. Drives & looks spectacular. Interesting trades considered. 26,318 km. (FML 2716)"

One last question: Does your documentation show any of the old registration plates, f.e. from its time in Monaco? (always looking to add more details to my database)

    Thanks and best regards

    Lars Theunissen
