    Hi All:

Have really enjoyed this board, lurking about, and learning all I can about the kind of car I've dreamed about since I was a kid. As I get closer (hopefully) to finding the right F-car for me (looking for a 90-94 348) I want to make sure I have all my resources aligned to make a good purchase and keep it running right. Can anyone recommend an excellent independent garage and/or mechanic to do a PPI in southern NH? I'm in the Nashua area so even around the Boston area would work.

Thanks in advance for the help!

    J,

Welcome and the #1 guy i can highly recommend in New England is David Castelhano at bertocchi AT charter DOT net. He works on many models of Ferrari from vintage restoration to the almightily Ferrari F40 and 333SP(!). He's a great guy to build a relationship with as he can also service your car for A LOT less than the dealer and is a straight shooter to boot.

+1 Another plug for bertocchi. He also has a very good friend that may be willing to move a well sorted 348.

Welcome. If you search here for Ferrari of New England, IFS (John Tirrell) or Boston Sports Car you'll see good reports on each of them. I personally use FoNE and IFS.

There are a number of guys with 348s here and if you show up for a sunday morning on the Northshore when the weather improves I'm sure you can hear first hand some ownership experiences.

Once you've jumped in you'll never look back.

David's new shop is not far from the NH border. I can also vouch that he's a good guy and knows his stuff.

Another + 1 for David and the thread you are looking for is : " Any sunny Sunday North Beverly Starbucks" . You can meet a great bunch of owners and will be able to network with owners.
