What is a fair price for a PPI on a California?

On the pre 30's what should you look for?

    Thanks.

I would be more concerned with who is doing the inspection vs how much. Also, is it a private sale, a certified Ferrari dealer car or non dealer car?

I spent from $500 - $600 on 3 boxer PPIs. Never even thought twice about it as we all know a bad car is going to eat you alive.

A non-Ferrari dealer is probably the most dangerous party to buy from. That said, the majority of cars from that source are still fine cars. I paid $500 for a PPI for a private Ferrari specialist to check my 355. He did a leak down, a general check with me present, and test drove the car. I drove the car 400 miles home.

None of the famous header issues?

Is it normal for a dealer to not fill in the "close scrutiny of paint work/body work" line on the 101 point inspection, saying that a PPI is just supposed to be mechanical?

Of course a visual inspection of the headers was included. They are Fabspeed, so nothing had to be removed.
