PPI for this 360

Hello,

I have been looking for a 355 or 360 and have recently decided to get a PPI done on this car. It has been serviced exclusively at Orange Co. Ferrari. (records coming) Does anyone have any feedback or information on it? Seems to be pretty clean. 3 owners but current guys has had it for over 5 going on 6 years. First 2 were a year a piece. Like I said all the service has been done at Orange and it has stayed in Ca.

Car looks very nice, but I'm not too fond of the wheels. Price seems a high. Maybe $90k. Good luck.

My sentiments exactly. It comes with the factory wheels as well but I am looking in the parts section right now..

 

Can you guys tell me what the options were on cars 2000-2005? What were the options you could get?

 

I just signed the paperwork to set the wheels in motion (no pun intended) for my Black/Tan 2004 360 Spider... Um yeah! I am just a little excited right now.

Congrats on the potential purchase!

As to options, here are my observations:

1) No color matched roll bars (but on a black car, almost think that is best);
2) Can't see a sub box between the seats (no clear pic though, so it may be there);
3) No Daytona seats;
4) No Scud Sheilds

It does have:

1) Red calipers;
2) Challenge grills;
3) Power seats

IMO those wheels are GROSS! But to each their own.

3 pedal car is Sorry to F1 fans, but I've gotta have that stick shift.

Depending on your taste, you may want to add an aftermarket exhaust.

Most of all, buy it and DRIVE the HELL out of it!!

 

I actually ended up getting a different car than the one in the link and at the same price. I am quite happy. I think it is a way better deal, its a 2004, has the shields, the sounds system, and 430 wheels as well as the stock. The sales contract is signed and I think the deal looks really good. It is subject to PPI but the car was owned by the President of Shell and was babied. Just went through a $7500 service 30 days ago. i am reviewing the records tonight with my car guy. I am completely over the moon right now! I am trying to post pics but it doesn't seem to want to let me do that, might have to up my membership?

Funny thing.. That first car's wheels are actually Hamman wheels (never been a fan..) but they are VERY expensive, just ugly LOL..

 

I really didn't like them either, don't care how much they were... Love your profile pic, can you get that in a poster? Totally cool!

 

Congratulations on the purchase. Is the car from the US? If so I'd love to hear about your import experience as I'm from Alberta and also looking to import a 360. With the dollar at par it makes more sense (IMO) to look south.

Thanks! I ended up buying a car through a dealer up here. It was a US based car and I believe it to be a very competitively priced car. I am actually quite glad that I went this way for the following reasons:

1. Convenience. I have nothing to worry about with regards to customs and importation and registration. I will simply go down to the dealer and pick up my freshly detailed pristine vehicle. All I need to do is put plates on it.

2. Recourse. In the event the car isn't exactly as it was represented at the time of purchase I can walk from the deal no questions and no penalty. This is huge when you are buying a car sight unseen.

3. Again recourse. If I find any issues regarding the vehicle that were not represented to me I can go back to him as he is a registered dealer in the province of BC.

Do your homework on pricing, and work the deal back based on cost of importing, duty, taxes, registration needs and then work a deal with your local guy. He wants the business and knows the market so he is going to be on it or he is not worth his salt.

Very valid comments on the convenience end. Plus with the issues I'm hearing (in other posts) about difficulties getting either the dealer printouts on recalls, or a recall letter from FNA, the savings may not be worth the troubles.

It's a shame, I've imported a Porsche and a Lexus and had absolutely no problems getting recall clearance letters from the respective head offices.

Ken, can you tell us the serial number of the car you ended up buying?


The wheels on the first car have been on the car pretty much since it came to the US. It was built in the Spring of '02, and by summer time it was for sale with those same wheels on it.

 

As the Ferrari world turns...

The dealer has presented me with another car. This is a local car with excellent service records with major service done 2000m ago. The guy actually lives right in my neighbourhood. So now I have 2 cars I am looking at with the same dealer. So sorry cant provide all the details yet, should have everything worked out by the end of the week.

Question for other Canadian buyers:

Here in the land of taxation, my accountant is telling me it is better to finance the car and pay for it over the next 3 years rather than take the cash out in one year and take the hit on the income in one shot. (for your reference I am set up with a trust and holdco for tax planning)

How did you guys pay for your car?
Did you receive similar advise?
I am very curious to know how you guys went about this.

If all the paperwork with the bank gets signed tomorrow I should be picking up my car. Went and saw it today with my wife. PPI went perfect, local car with one owner. I will have to change the wipers.. I was OK with that. Started her up and listened contently...

I am hoping to get her lowered just a tad. Have read a couple of things but any insight will be highly appreciated. I heard on the 355 thread (when I was debating over the 2 cars) that there is a fathers day rally here in the NW. Any one attending?

Also, if there is anyone out there from the Vancouver area that knows a good place to store cars over the winter. Let me know!

From the polls i've read and seen online here it seems a large proportion of forum members bought their cars with cash. that being said it you know you can comfortably afford the car I would break up the payments whenever possible. a dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow so why not keep the cash and invest it in something that can make you money.
