PPI in Atlanta

I'm looking at buying my first Ferrari from FoA in Atlanta, GA.

I'd like to know if anybody has bought a car through them with a PPI done prior to the purchase? Also, I'd like some recommendations as to who can perform the PPI in the Atlanta area.

I bought my 360 at FOA (with no PPI - they did have all the records) and had a minor issue later and they took care of it no questions asked. I have had nothing but great service at FOA.

They did the PPI on my CS. The problem for me was that generally dealers do not do PPI's and non-dealer shops dont have SD3's to check error codes and clutch wear on an F1 gearbox. I consequently had Old World do the PPI, and FoA just do the SD3 download for error codes and clutch wear. Both Old World and FoA were great.

Bought my 01' 360 from FOA last year with no PPI, and like Andy had mentioned, they had all the paperwork (online) so no worries. I've been extremely pleased with the car (best I've ever had), along with the service and sales people! (I looked at as a long-term-relationship.......... great-great people).

I eventually purchased the 360 without the PPI.

I reached this decision because of a number of factors. Interestingly, I asked a couple of
guys at the dealership how many of their customers get PPI's. Their response was very few. At most 10%. I talked with Mike at Old World MotorCars. He corroborated that by saying he rarely does PPI's on cars from FoA and that the majority are for cars being bought by private sellers or used car dealers. He also said that because the car had so few miles, that he wouldn't recommend doing an engine compression check. It wasn't necessary unless a test drive indicated there might be an issue. Also, FoA and the Ferrari dealer the car came from both did their own thorough inspections. The clutch had also been inspected and showed only 11% wear.

 

I have bought two Fcars and sold one through FoA they are the best never felt I needed a third part Inspection.

 

Bump - There's a F430 for sale in Atlanta by private party at a very reasonable price, and wondering where to get PPI. Is FoA still the best place? It's been a while since these posts were made. Things may have changed.

 

FOA does not do PPI's.

 

Best guy in Atlanta is Ron Reineke in Tucker. He stays pretty busy so I would call ASAP to get it scheduled.

 

This is correct. I tried to get them to do a PPI on a private party 360 and they refused. I offered to sign a waiver etc with no luck. They were nice though and did run the vin to give me any service history available and campaign status.

Totally agree Ron Reineke (404-435-6760 [email protected] ) is the guy you need to use for a PPI.

I bought my '04 360 Spider F1 from FoA and Ron performed the PPI which was very useful in making sure some things needed to be addressed by FoA before completing the purchase. I'm extremely satisfied with both Ron and the folks at FoA (Michael Mills was outstanding).
