Hey guys, flying out to Dallas next Friday to look at a 2013 458 Spider. Anyone have the name of a person/shop to do a PPI? I’ve been reading up about the tranny issues. Car was last serviced at dealership in Austin and recall was performed. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

2013 won’t have the transmission issue. Just make sure the DCT service has been completed.

It’s hard to tell as these are electrical parts that go in the DCT. If you lucky there may be some codes stored and you could catch it before you buy it.

I have a 2013 spider and the clutch temp sensor popped up. In the end the CCP and clutch sensor needed replacing.

No difference in transmission for all 458’s. There are differences in sensor locations and accessibility.
