Can someone give me an idea of the PPI process? I am interested in a car in DFW, but not sure if I have to have the PPI done at the seller's facility. What would a typical PPI cost? Car is a 2002 456MGTA.

it is up to seller if they allow PPI or not and where. you should walk if they don't let you take it offsite to Norwoods. not sure the current PPI prices. sounds interesting.

Thanks Rob. If I pursue this I will definitely insist on an off-site PPI.

I would only want a 3rd party PPI of my choosing. If the seller won't allow that, walk away briskly.

What I meant by on-site, is having "my" PPI guy come to the dealership. This dealership does not have the ability to do its own PPI.

GTA? Doesn't the "A" stand for AUTOMATIC?

Ken, Ken, Ken. You've waited too long for your 456 to be an auto. :( ;)

Have the dealership take the car to Norwoods or Boardwalk and drop it off. It's pretty common practice. If they won't do it, walk away.

Thanks for the inputs. I have looked at the car and trying to decide to let it go or do a PPI.
