    I am in NY & have been discussing the purchase of a 1995 456 at a non-Ferrari dealer in Scottsdale, AZ. As you can imagine, the distance is an issue that warrants careful consideration. The dealer has offered to allow a PPI but not "...by a store that also sells Ferrari." As a result, that would rule out Scottsdale Ferrari who I was thinking of for a PPI. That statement raises some questions in my mind & I am curious if others have had a similar experience.
    - What is the objection of this non-Ferrari dealer with having a recognised Ferrari shop (Scottsdale Ferrari) perform the PPI? I would expect that they would be able to uncover things that other non-Ferrari shops might miss.
