    Hi Guys,

I'm considering taking the plunge of my first Ferrari. Does anyone have a recommendation of a great specialist to do a quick once over on a car for me? Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    Thank you so much!

A quick once over is not the answer. Have the local authorized Ferrari dealer to a complete PPI for peace of mind.

Algar Ferrari may still be doing them. Lots of shops will pass on doing a PPI, too little reward, too much liability. call their service department - 610-527-1100

Also try the two Tonys. Scuderia Performante - Independant Ferrari Service

These guys are both factory trained, excellent mechanics who opened their own shop a few years ago after a couple decades working for the local Ferrari dealer. Great guys, even better mechanics. Award winning mechanics. 484-328-8101

Agree with pucky. Either get a full blown PPI (spend a few hundred bucks) or don't bother.

Go directly to Scuderia Performante - Tony and Anthony are the best - these are the guys you want looking out for you.

Here are a couple photos of their very well equipped shop from my visit there a couple months ago when they worked on my Maserati GT and my buddies 458

Be prepared to spend $500 or so. Worth every penny no matter the result. I once walked away from what looked superficially like a brilliant car based on ppi results. No regrets. On the other hand, I bought my 456 based on a conversation with the mechanic who had services it. He left a number of things out that a ppi would have caught and that I've paid to deal with. Would have been good to know as I might have baked them into the purchase price.
