hello Rocky Mtn. Region! My first post here, my friend Roland asked me to drop in and say hello and invite you all to Pikes Peak Intl. Raceway this weekend. Just an update to let you know how this weekend will be run: Friday gates will be open until 6pm for drivers that are participating in the Ferrari of Denver "Customer Appreciation Day" to drop off trailers, and for the United States Speedway Series (USSS) to unload. The USSS will unload and garage in the South garage, west side. Saturday the gates will open at 7am, spectators are welcome on Saturday, the gate fee will be $10 per spectator, unless you are guest of Ferrari of Denver. Please bring your camera, as of today there is over 100 guests that have RSVP to FOD! This will be a spectacular showing! Also on Saturday, get up close and personal with the United States Speedway Series drivers Bailey Dotson and Greg Gorden. Talk to the drivers that feel the speed, the competition, the power, and the adrenaline of an Indy car! Here is your opportunity to learn about Indy cars, wing configurations, how drafting works, suspension & wheel energy management, the cost of an Indy car and how maybe you can be the next driver of the United States Speedway Series in 2005! For the drivers that are participating on Sunday, please do not park in the garages until ALL of Ferrari of Denver guests have left the bays. You will then be allowed to park on a first come basis in the garages after 5pm, Please do not park in the first 4 bays in the North garage on the East and West side, north end (usually there is 2 F40's parked there). There will be no overnight camping this weekend! Gates will open on Sunday at 7am, we will go hot at 9am, off the track at 5pm. For those that are registered for the driving school, please meet with our Chief Driving Instructor Roland Linder at 8:15am in the North garage by his ride. The United States Speedway Series will have their feature race at 1pm. Spectators are welcome on Sunday, there is no gate charge for Sunday. If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact me. We look forward to seeing you all at the track! Leslie Howard [email protected]
