prancing horse statue

I'm glad you like them! I'll weld a base onto the 12" one for you as soon as I get it back, free of charge. Sorry I missed your note about that the first time around.

The one in my office is hanging from a brass nail through the top-most hole in the Horses head. That's the simplest way to hang it.

I've done a couple where I welded stand-offs on the back, so they could be back lit with the strip lights you can get that are inside a flexible plastic tube. Those ones are hung differently. The next one I do like that will have a hollow top stand-off to slip onto a nail.

Here are some pics finally of the 3ft Cavallino mounted. We hung it from the top most hole, barely noticable and perfectly balanced. I especially like the textured look of the blackened finishing. The pictures make it look kind of flat on the wall, but the metal is thick enough and the piece sits just off the wall giving it a 3D effect. Looks great!

Thanks for the compliments! I'm really glad you like the pieces. The artwork is a great outlet for me, since my day job has been a bit lacking lately. Robotics can be a lot of fun, unless you're watching over someone else getting to do all the fun stuff.
