Shields are worth 8-10k on their own. But hey, believe what you want. Homelink was 1200 as a new option. It's just a courtesy option people like. The wheels are far superior at resale in split 5.
Yeah right wheels impact resale value? On a modern car? Did u really just say that?? Sandy what do u think? Do u agree? Non limited interchangeable parts impact resale? Tires and oil too? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Again, instead of arguing from bluster just LOOK UP the pricing of the cars online, preferably in a spreadsheet that tracks how long a sale takes and the price drops over time, as I have done many times, and you will see the trends. The other wheels simply don't move as fast. Homelink is not a deal breaker but it will grease the sale. To think that options, just like colors, don't change FF values AGAINST THE REALITY OF ALL OTHER CARS is really just illogical. Consumer products all have features and values attached. 10k on a 200k car is 5%, not a big deal really. Are you arguing also that the LED wheel is not important? That's easily another 10k in asking prices, again, by the reality in the market, chart-able over time not my opinion. I sense that you are so against me personally that if I said the sky was blue you would make a put down, and phone e friend for their opinion to bolster yours. Maybe you have a car that has many undesirable features, and that's something you can't accept. Don't shoot the messenger !
can someone pls make this stop!? I've bought 35 cars in 20 yrs - I don't think I need a spreadsheet. u are literally spewing crap and some poor soul is going to go look for a car using ur absurd advice.
This guy buys 1 used FCar, 1 time, from carmax and has become the world's leading expert from it.. yes, please make it stop.
Funny, because I recently helped a soul get a great car who asked for my advice and benefited greatly and was most thankful, probably 100 emails from him. How many used FFs have you bought? ZERO. Maybe you should STFU? Sorry that you are averse to real data, but I have no skin in the game to make things up.
how do I have no skin in the game? I have an FF. how many FFS have u considered trading in? oh I have one.
Thanks for the childish attempt at an insult breaking forum rules and polluting the waters. Yet ... facts are facts ... if you make a spreadsheet and compare certain key build features vs. popular colors / years / miles ... you get the same results than any dealer will tell you based on their observations, and easily apparent by their pricing. The standard wheels and non LED steering for example, always cheapest. Shields are obviously far more popular, not sure why anyone would argue against that. Who doesn't prefer Homelink to a tacky opener that can rattle? Nothing was appealing 14 months ago at the local dealers in CA so I spent 3 months tracking a spreadsheet with every car on the market and then flew to two Ferrari dealers with strong FF pricing and good reputations. The first car was black and great, a 2012 for 209 at 4k miles, perfect paint and great build ... except I decided on Daytona seats. The second car was an even better build and colors, yet a 2014 for 252 at 670 miles. At the time both prices good. Spreadsheets work ... better than ego driven bluster. Yes, and it's not worth much, partly because the build. You don't know the used market, except the one dealer who doesn't really want your car, and knows you have the money to buy up if you really want to.
Those arent diamond finish wheels? Can u post a pic of diamond finish? isn't this diamond cut? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Original-OEM-Factory-Ferrari-FF-DIAMANTO-20-inch-Diamond-Cut-Front-WHEEL-/201572220379?hash=item2eeea3fddb
Those look like they are diamond cut style. I think some people get confused because it seems diamond cut usually also means the optional wheels... I wonder if those are actually partially "ball polished" and I also wonder if there's a difference between "ball polished" and diamond cut... All I know is wheels are nice to have on a car- they tend to not go too far without them. (and homelink doesn't do much good if you are not able to move! ps- my VCR is blinking and I can't get my rabbit ears pointed in the right direction!)
The standard single five spoke wheels and the twin spoke optional wheels oils be ordered fully painted or diamond cut so options were: 1. Standard five spoke fully painted 2. Standard five spoke partly diamond cut (half the surface is diamond cut if you look closely) 3. Standard five spoke fully diamond cut 4. Optional twin spoke forged fully painted Matt grey 5. Optional twin spoke forged painted gloss grey with diamond cut edges 6. Optional twin spoke forged painted silver Hope that helps!
The FF Configurator is still active so you can still see the wheel options: http://car-configurator.ferrari.com/ff Image Unavailable, Please Login

How can LED wheel be worth $10K or more in resale when it does not even cost that much to replace a non-LED wheel with a LED one....
The wheels that matter on resale are the diamond forged at nearly £5,000 not the so called diamond finished wheel which is no more than a slight upgrade on the standard wheel
the blue car I posted from wide world has diamond cut wheels no? or do you not believe the spec sheet?
Not saying there is anything wrong with cast wheels, but it's mind-boggling that cars like this still come with non-forged wheels.
