    Curious,
It says 3rd GTO built...it says it was crashed...but why does it have the Le Mans roofline, like the 2 330 GTO's??

more than $45 million at its Monterey auction in August.

According to a press release posted by RM Sotheby's, this particular car, chassis 3413 GT, was the third GTO built out of 36 total, and might be the most successful GTO in competition ever.

well if its really going to be the most valuable of all time it has to surpass the $70m market that was just fetched. The stock market is at all time highs, so why not. I'll say $80m

Yes and I’m not really sure it will. As wonderful as it is, the series II GTO’s I don’t feel are viewed to be quite as beautiful as the series I GTO’s. This could effect the price. That’s why I am having a hard time guessing a number.

One of two Series 1 cars rebodied in period to GTO 64 spec. The last three cars( 5571, 5573 and 5575) of the series were GTO 64s.

...and doesn't the 250 GTE engine in the car (breathed on, dry sumped and GTO spec 6 carbed I'm sure) to preserve the original 250 GTO unit sound absolutely fantastic!!!

I just don't see it going past the most recently sold GTO. I think 60 as well. Just 23 days til we find out. :)

I agree with the comment about the Series II not being as desirable as the Series I, but that's to the general public. Just takes 2 people that prefer the II over the I to bid it past that $70.

I’m putting it at 72 as let’s look at the facts. It’s a real car no Brokers no middle men, car is here in front of a prospective buyers eyes ready to be purchased. The consumer confidence is at its peak with something like this. First 100M car? Maybe. Unlikely but maybe
