Hi everybody, Just wanted to show you my (old, 1986) new baby . Got her by the end of 2006 and then had her go through a major, new clutch, new pumps, new hoses and a lot of others little things. It's not a garage queen but a decent driver. I love every minutes I spent with it since I started driving last friday. What a thrill! By the way thanks for F-Chat and everybody, it really helped me through the venture of buying and having the car worked on. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks! Yes it is a thrill. I was lucky enough to find the right people to work on it since I am not very handy with a wrench...I will try on getting small things done myself like I did the spacer on the steering column which is a very nice addition.
Thursday evening I drove her on the highway by the St Lawrence river. It was about 80F outside and Spring fresh air was flowing into the car with the sunset!...I was in heaven!
Thanks Big red, The good side is to be able to enjoy such a car Qc City. And the other good side is with winter like we have here I will not be able to put so much mileage on it so it will not take a huge drop in value! LOL!
Congratulations on the fine looking 308! That's quite the overhaul you had done... but, in the end you'll be glad you did! Enjoy the ride!!
Thanks Mr. Nice Guy, I can tell you this baby is running strong, screaming and turning heads around here. If ever you make the trip to the north part of NA and come to Qc City I will show you the subtle differences between a 328 and a 308! LOL!
Congrats UpNorth, Don't worry about resale value and saving mileage. Just drive it every chance you get. These cars don't like being left in the garage. The more you drive them the better they run. I drive mine until they start dumping salt on the roads. Got to early January this year. Gerrit in Toronto, http://dino308gt4.com
Sweet ride! As you know, we shared a similar experience bringing a US car 'up north' (sorry, couldn't resist). If there are any other canucks out there thinking of importing a car into Canada from the US, rest assured, it's easy. I've done it twice. Enjoy the car. I hope to see it in person soon.
Esteban, Hope you make it to come to Qc City. We'll have a good time. Plus I found out I'm not alone around here!
