I have a lovely wife that doesn't always leave a lot of space between our cars in the garage. I also have 3 kids that pay zero attention when they sling the SUV doors open.
Both previous cars took their share of dings, but it looks like a red Italian will take the place of my sedan and I'm gonna be nervous as hell until I found a way to mitigate these issues?

I've seen a few things online. And this seems like a viable option (picture included).

What is the popular device of choice for people in my situation?

LOL! Would not have to worry about door dings as she'd probably take the car...

Depending on how often you drive it, a lift?

I saw one guy knock out one wall and move it over 3', or actually
built a new wall 3' over and then knocked out the other wall.

You park the left car front in and 2nd Car rear in and put pool noodles on both walls so the driver door is facing both walls you never touch the other Car when opening the driver door you have to decide what driver backs in the car

If I opened a door into my Dad's car it would've been the last thing I ever did.

Simple. Park the non-Ferrari on the driveway. Maintain a one car open buffer in the garage.

Simply pull/drive the car out before anyone <Especially kids> get in- then reverse when you get back- and for that matter wherever you go -

Member Hank Sound (now deceased) made a thing he called "garage buddy" that you could attach to one car with a suction cup in the appropriate location to protect from door dings in the garage, I got one from him before he passed.
He also made the "spyder cover" and a windshield cover for our cars, great guy who is missed on the forums.
