    Hello to 4 CAM GT

You are a Previous Owner of my Dino. I treasure the 4CAMGT California License plate. The car is undergoing a renewal short of an obsessive resto. No surprise, the car had been banged up in its history and reveals various brands of body filler.

Although in dry storage the Dino had reacted as expected to life in South Eastern Wisconsin.

Of course, I am taking photos. I hesitate sharing photos as I presume you all know what a stripped down L Series looks like.

Matteo Jones - ReOriginals - is supplying the dash covering which supposedly is the original mouse fur. I mention that in the context of previous discussions of that material. Matteo used to be known as Matt. However, his close ties to Italian suppliers has apparently resulted in the evolution of his name.

Tycho, congratulations! It was my first Dino. I wish I could buy it back for what I sold it for ($70K)! I sold it to a well known broker who sold it to RPM Vermont who I heard did a service and some mechanical work to it before selling it on. I would love to see your photos of the restoration process. I sold it with all the tools, rare books/pouch, rare spares (including rare 206 gearbox parts and early NOS column stalk switch assembly) and all my documentation. It was a super early L-Series (32nd one built?). Back then it was possible to receive from Ferrari a colors and options document which I sent on with the car. It said it originally had a 206 wood steering wheel (I think I added that when I sold it as well). I can also imagine most likely all the rare books/tools/extra parts were separated before the broker sold it on. It also had the crowned surface Scaglietti headlamp covers (one cracked) with the mounts brazed to the body. Many of the parts such as suspension are 206 on this example. The early cars have the early wheel spinners.

On the 4CAMGT plate, I was fortunate that it became available again in California so I now have it registered again on my current Dino :)
