I'm thinking of selling my 458. 6800 miles. Does $219k sound like a fair asking price with the heavy options? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Seems a tad high to me for that year, although the miles are low. What was the original MSRP? That will help to get to a figure. As a comparable, I am selling my 2010 458 right now (very heavily optioned also) with 15k miles for 185k and there are a ton of 458's for sale across the country.
FOA just sold my '11 458 for 192K with 3600 miles as a bench mark. I see a lot of asking prices at 210 to 215. I don't know how many are selling.
I just traded my 2011 with 5K miles at FTB, I believe they plan on listing it for $209-$219. Hasn't hit the market yet though
To the OP, I believe $200k is more along the lines of where the car will sell. There are plenty of 2011's with asking prices of $205-215k. I think going higher you will out price yourself.
Sold my 2011 with 8000 miles and a MSRP of $289k for $200k 60 days ago. I could have got quite a bit more if it wasn't for the 2 car faxes against my car. I never had an real accident, and they're both long stories, but it still killed my resale value.
Most people do not care about CF options. It's the year, the color combo, mileage, originality, and the "condition" (aka records, car fax, etc). Books, tools, and 2 keys a must for top value. Yours is a 2011 so you can't push the free maintenance program which 12's can. Racing seats can be a negative for a lot of people and a positive for some. Again, unlikely someone would pay more for the seats. Anything above 2 I would take, 190 would be a shame. Winter is coming and it's going to be a long dry spell. Cars.com has like 300 458's right now believe it or not. Good luck with the sale!
I bet you could go a little higher, but you have to weigh the risk of a likely drop off in 458 prices as 488s begin to land.
With the market free falling into a correction (off 10% from yearly highs). If this continues prices will fall dramatically. I sold my 2006 f430 in June of 2008 for 275k. A year later the same car was selling for 170. I predict prices in the 160-170s by years end for the 458. That is why I sold my 2014 this month
Maybe, but 458's are a depreciating assets and it may have been better for the buyer to have $ now to put to work, versus waiting it out. I believe that many folks set their asking prices by looking at what others on ebay, etc., are asking (like the story of where the clock maker sets his clock by the clock tower, while the keeper of the clock tower, sets the clock tower by looking in the window of the clock makers shop each morning...) Anyways, the point is that asking prices don't equal selling prices. The OP seems to be trying to avoid all the BS and is looking to price his car a fair selling price to move it, not just fish it out there.
I understand but given the current market a 2011 458 with 3,600 miles for $192k is a great deal. That's just factual given selling prices currently.
Sweet spec'd car. I bought my '14, 960 miles with all the goodies for $260k back in June..I think you should get over $200k w/o much issue.
Ok. I'll ask $215k OBO. It's for sale if anyone is interested. For some reason, I could not access the classified section to post there. I'll work on getting that done. In addition to the factory options, it has a full front clip clear bra. It is lowered 17mm on stock suspension (ferrari of atlanta) and the service is up to date (ferrari of atlanta). Hard wired for Passport radar detector. I'm the second owner... first owner was a LENGENDARY rock icon! [email protected] Thanks, Steve
