Sorry, newbie here. So if this needs to be in another forum, please move it.

I have stumbled onto a pair of orginal black seats. They are in storage, hopefully wrapped up well. I have to go back and help get them out for pics and all that. The question is are they worth the effort? It is my "understanding" that they are in great shape, ready to go. Probably need a healthy dose of your favoritie hide treatment (I assume these things were all leather).

Any help is appreciated. You may contact me thru email listed in my profile if you wish.

I would guess this is the right forum. I would think someone might pay around $400 for the pair. The 308 GT4 car prices range from around $17k up to about $30k. Maybe a GT4 owner can chime in on the value better?

Front seats or back seats, or both?

They are probably vinyl, or a leather and material combination. Most GT4's didn't have full leather seats out of the factory.

Thank you. I will find out more about these. If they aren't worth anything to speak of, that's all we want to know. No sense in trying to make a big deal out of something that is not.

The reason I even came over here to inquire is because of a particular seat you guys may have heard of in the early Porsche 911. They were made by Recaro and were an option in several years up to '73 (standard in the '71S model). These rascals have been selling in the 4K category lately! So, one never knows until he asks. :)

Well...good and bad, IMO....as you noted, the seats hardware and patterns are very good to find!

My trim guys say that they only deal in fresh cows.....the point being, no amount of treatment will equal the original feel of fine leather.....

Don't know what a pair of seats is worth, but about 2 years ago, I spent ~$800 to get my front seats redone in leather.

In the early cars, front seats were a combination of vinyl/cloth. Leather was an option. The later cars came with all leather.

I would just put the seats up on ebay and see what you can get.

I'm not a big eBay fan. I came here first with the intention of finding out what I can and I have received good info. For that, I thank all. When I get the particulars, now that I know what to look for, and some pics, I'll offer them here for sale. Maybe there are some other Ferrari forums as well.

You guys have been very polite and informative. You know, if I could, I'd buy a 330 project. Of course, series 2 is my favorite and I like the 2+2 better than the GTC, but any horse in a barn, eh? (Sorry to the members of this forum, but I would have to have Borranis. A Ferrari w/o Borranis is just not complete, LOL Plus, the age of the car more matches my own grey hair years.)

Maybe someday I'll be posting about that. Wouldn't that be cool (for me, ;))?
