    Hi everyone

I am looking at a blue on tan with blue piping 2006 F430 Spider with 8200 miles. It has power Daytonas, shields, challenge wheels, subwoofer and an extended warranty until december of 2010. Maybe a few other extras I cannot remember (but nothing spectacular, like no ceramic brakes). The interior is clean and clutch was measured at 10% wear (so pretty good).

Now, the not so good: the car needs tires (is that normal unless it was taken to the track?), one wheel is slightly bent and one has about 3 inches of bad curb rash. The paint is in ok shape, I spotted two dings and a few scratches that could notbe taken out. There is no invisible shield on the front so might find more stuff once it's washed and cleaned properly (the car was filthy when I saw it).

The car had 5,800 miles in April when the current owner took it over from his cousin. CarFax shows it as a one owner but the title has 5,800 miles (go figure).

Anyway, what do people think it's worth?

    Thank you!

    I'd offer $140K. Maybe less.

But I wouldn't take a car like that in this market. Look for better.

Got it, thanks for the advice. It seems that all other convertibles are in the $150k-$160k range. Also, I haven't seen too many blue F430s, do you think that should drive the price up or down? I like the color but it doesn't seem to be very popular...

Also, what if it was in better shape (new tires, no dings etc)? Just trying to figure out what matters the most - color (kinda unusual), miles or condition...

    Thanks!

    In this market, why settle?

I'd let this one be. There are too many newer cars in better shape with better colors. Start at the top and work your way down to the junky cars.

"junky" for lack of a better word.

Has anyone here actually purchased a 430 spider with normal options listed in the first post for this amount?

My search for a 360 manual spider isn't going so well. Difficult to find what I'm looking for and difference bt asking/selling prices is not that great. I will not pay more than 115 or so for a 360, especially if a 430 can be had for price mentioned above. 430 spider must be manual, red/tan, power daytonas, carbon interior, shields with tan roll bar. Asking prices for 05-06 models like these seem to be from 170-210.

I was offered a 430 like i mentioned back in March for asking price of 189 but I was just beginning to look into a Ferrari purchase seriously then. Plus 189 is more than I am willing to pay for a car.

I would think "Manual" is what's holding you back.

I've been searching a lot and see very few "Manual" 430's.
